On the Accounts page, click "Connect bank." We use Plaid, a trusted bank connection service used by thousands of apps, to securely link your account in read-only mode.

Pocket Check is $6.99 per month or $59.99 per year (about 28% off the monthly rate). Your first month is free. You add a card when you start, and it is charged when the free month ends unless you cancel before then.

You get full access to everything for a month: bank connections, Atlas, budgets, bills, cash flow charts, transaction history. You add a card at the start and nothing is charged until the month ends. We email you the day before. Cancel before then and you pay nothing; your data stays in your account, read-only, until you delete it.

Pocket Check connects to thousands of banks in the US through Plaid, including major banks like Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One, and most credit unions. If your bank isn't supported, you can still add an account manually and update the balance yourself.

No. We never see or store your bank credentials. Plaid handles the secure connection directly with your bank.

No. We have read-only access. We can see your balances and transactions, but we cannot move or transfer money in any way.

Your account data, budget settings, bills, and transactions live in our secure Supabase database, protected by row-level security so other people cannot read your records, except what you choose to share with your household. Plaid access tokens are kept on our backend so we can refresh your transactions on a schedule. Your Atlas chat history stays on your device (in your browser on the web, in the app on iPhone), not on our servers.

Yes. Subscribed on the web? Cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing. Subscribed in the iPhone app? Cancel in the App Store. Either way, cancelling stops the next charge and you keep access through the end of the current period. Web subscriptions also get a full refund within 14 days of the first paid charge, no questions asked. See the Refund Policy for details.

Your data stays in your account after access ends, in case you come back. You can browse it in read-only mode, and delete it any time from Settings.

Atlas is the assistant built into Pocket Check. When you ask it a question, we send your question with a summary of your finances (balances, spending, upcoming bills) to our AI provider, which uses that context to answer for your situation.

To change one budget, edit it on the Budget page. Settings → "Clear All Data" resets everything: bills, income, budgets, goals, manual accounts and transactions, rules, category changes and household settings, and it disconnects your banks and brokerages. Export your data first if you might want it back.

Try tapping "Sync" on the Transactions or Accounts page. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting and reconnecting your bank in Settings. If problems persist, email us.
