1. About Pocket Check

Pocket Check is an AI-powered budgeting tool designed to help you with personal financial management. Pocket Check is not a licensed financial advisor. All information provided by the App is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as financial, legal, or tax advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pocket Check. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your Account and Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
  • You will not use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

4. Bank Account Connection

We use Plaid to connect to your bank account. This connection is read-only — we cannot move, transfer, or modify your funds in any way. You may disconnect your bank account at any time from within the App.

5. AI Financial Coach

The AI financial coach is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of AI-generated responses.

6. Acceptable Use

  • You agree not to reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the Pocket Check service.
  • You will not use the service in any way intended to harm others.

7. Intellectual Property

The Pocket Check name, logo, and all App content are owned by Pocket Check LLC. You may not use them without our express written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pocket Check LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the App settings.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Effective Date” when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
